About The Teacher:
My name Mrs. Christine DiFalco and September 2011 will start my tenth year teaching fourth grade at School One. Prior to teaching, I had a successful ten year career in the field of Marketing Communications.
I graduated in 2002 from Long Island University in with a Masters Degree in Elementary Education. I have also achieved 60 Post Masters credits since graduating from Long Island University.
My educational philosophy is to “Educate for Personal Excellence”. It is my belief that this can best be achieved through creating a safe and nurturing learning environment. It must begin with mutual respect for others. High standards, accountability, respect for differences and equal educational opportunities for all students. This can be accomplished by welcoming parent and community involvement and the development of partnerships with the schools. Keeping in mind, that all children have the ability to learn.
My vision is to develop a premier learning community, which sets the standards for educational excellence. This can be achieved through the development and implementation of a challenging instructional program for all students, while keeping the lines of communication open and insisting upon an accountability system for
both students and staff.
